According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 AM on July 2, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 17.1 degrees North latitude - 113.7 degrees East longitude, over the North East Sea area, about 240 km east-northeast of the Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is strong at level 7 (50-61 km/h), gusting at level 9; moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 25 km/h.

Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10-15 km/h, with the possibility of strengthening into a storm.

By 7:00 AM on July 3rd, the storm center will be located at about 18.1 degrees North latitude - 110.9 degrees East longitude; over the sea area southeast of Hainan Island (China). The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8-9, gusting at level 11-12.

The dangerous area is at about 16.5 degrees North latitude - 19 degrees North latitude; 109.5 degrees East longitude - 115 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the Northern East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa special zone).

Forecast for the next 48 hours, the storm will move in a Northwest direction, speed of about 10-15 km/h. By 7:00 AM on July 4, the storm center will be located at about 20.1 degrees North latitude - 108.7 degrees East longitude; over the Northern Gulf area. The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10.

The dangerous area is at about 17 degrees North latitude - 21 degrees North latitude; 107.5 degrees East longitude - 112 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the western sea area of the Northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone), the Northern Gulf area.

From the next 48 to 72 hours, the storm will move in a North-Northwest direction, moving about 15 km per hour and gradually weakening.

Regarding the impact of the tropical depression (then the storm), the North East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa special zone) has strong winds at level 6-7, gusts at level 9, waves 2-4m high, strong rough seas; from the afternoon of July 2nd, the area near the storm center passing through level 8, then increasing to level 9, gusts at level 11-12, waves 3-5m high, very strong rough seas.

Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
