Warning of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 100mm/3 hours.
Rain concentrates in Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Bac Ninh.
Warning, from the night of July 5, heavy rain in the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa tends to gradually decrease.
The area from Nghe An to Quang Tri during the day and night of July 4, is forecast to have showers and scattered thunderstorms with rainfall of 15 - 30mm, locally heavy to very heavy rain over 100mm.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions on July 4th day and night are forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 10 - 30mm, locally heavy rain over 70mm.
In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Regarding the hydrological situation, currently, the water level on rivers in the Northern region has small fluctuations and is below alarm level 1.
Warning from today (July 4) to July 7, a flood is likely to appear on rivers in the Northeast region, the flood amplitude upstream of rivers is from 3 - 6m, downstream of rivers is from 2 - 4m.
Regarding this flood, the peak flood on the upper Lo River, upper Thai Binh River, rivers in Bac Ninh are likely to reach alarm level 1-alerte level 2, some rivers above alarm level 2; rivers in Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang are likely to reach alarm level 2-alerte level 3, some rivers above alarm level 3; the lower Red River, Thai Binh River are below alarm level 1.
High risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, urban areas in the Northern Delta; flash floods, landslides on slopes in mountainous and midland provinces in the Northern region.
Warning level of natural disaster risk due to floods is level 2. Floods on rivers and streams can cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, affecting activities such as waterway traffic, aquaculture, agricultural production, people's livelihoods and socio-economic activities.
