ANH HUY |

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh requested to absolutely not allow the situation of requesting postponement of draft laws close to the time the National Assembly Standing Committee meets.

On the afternoon of July 2nd, in Hanoi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh chaired a meeting with representatives of leaders of agencies assigned to draft to review the preparation of draft laws and contents to be submitted to the National Assembly at the thematic session on law-making.

At the working session, representatives of leaders of agencies in charge of drafting draft laws reported more specifically on the drafting progress, closely coordinated with relevant agencies in the process of preparing draft laws, and solutions to help shorten the time to complete draft laws.

Concluding, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh noted that the time from now until the July Session of the National Assembly Standing Committee is not much, the Government, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and agencies assigned to preside over the drafting of draft laws submitted to the National Assembly need to focus maximum resources and complete dossiers to ensure timeliness.

In which, it should be noted that absolutely do not allow the situation of requesting postponement or submitting close to the time the National Assembly Standing Committee meets, or until the meeting schedule has been arranged but there are no documents.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly assigned the Standing Committee of the Law and Justice Committee to closely coordinate with agencies, strengthen exchanges, and work directly to promptly handle issues with different opinions; for major policies that are different from current laws, agencies need to proactively report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.

For 7 draft laws and resolutions in the fields of responsibility, it is proposed that the Standing Committee of the Law and Justice Committee and the Ministry of Justice closely coordinate and accompany agencies in the process of drafting, thẩm tra, receiving and revising drafts, and reviewing legislative techniques before submitting them to the National Assembly for approval.

Regarding the draft laws that the Government is expected to submit for supplementation to the specialized law-making session of the National Assembly, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh requested the Government to urgently send dossiers and submit policies for the National Assembly Standing Committee to assign agencies to preside over the appraisal.

The National Assembly Office coordinates with the Government Office, National Assembly Committees, and relevant agencies to arrange the meeting schedule of the National Assembly Standing Committee in July, to give opinions on the contents submitted to the National Assembly at the specialized session on law-making.
