Mr. Dang Van Thu - Vice Chairman of Cam Ranh Ward People's Committee - said that from April 2026 to now, the locality has directed functional forces, in coordination with the Traffic Police force, to strengthen inspections and request to stop operations for this illegal wharf and yard.
However, in reality, when functional forces are not present, the wharves and yards continue to operate.
Ships and trucks carrying food and raw materials for aquaculture still enter and exit this area.
Receiving feedback on the above situation, leaders of Cam Ranh Ward People's Committee affirmed that they will resolutely close the illegal wharves and yards, and terminate operations according to regulations.
According to Cam Ranh Ward People's Committee, the entire wharf area is currently in the planning of an urban area project in the area.
For those who are managing wharves and yards, the locality has developed a compensation and support plan according to regulations.
Closing is mandatory and will be resolutely and thoroughly implemented by the local government in the coming time.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, in April 2026, Cam Ranh Ward People's Committee requested Mr. Pham Cong Trung and related individuals, organizations and vehicle owners to terminate all activities at the spontaneous wharf and yard.
At the same time, proactively move vehicles and equipment out of the area, and not continue to rent or borrow locations to receive vehicles serving aquaculture activities.
