The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated information on the weather situation and natural disasters nationwide this week (from January 20 to January 25). Accordingly, the weather will have many fluctuations due to the impact of a strong cold air wave starting to affect from the evening and night of January 20 - 21.
From the evening and night of January 20 - 22 in the Northern region, there will be rain; from January 21 - 24 in the Central Central region, there will be rain, showers, locally moderate rain and thunderstorms.
From January 21st, the North and North Central regions will turn cold. From the night of January 21st to around January 23rd, the North will be very cold, with severe cold in mountainous areas. The lowest temperature in mountainous and midland areas is commonly 8 - 11 degrees Celsius, the Northern Delta region is commonly 11 - 14 degrees Celsius, and the North Central region is commonly 13 - 16 degrees Celsius.
The meteorological agency has also analyzed weather patterns during this period in all three regions.
The Northern region on January 20th, early morning there will be light rain, drizzle and fog, then there will be light rain in some places, cold at night and early morning. From the evening of January 20th - 22nd, the Northern region will be affected by the northeast monsoon, so it is highly likely to rain. From January 23rd - 25th, the Northern region will have light rain in some places.
From January 21, the North will turn cold, mountainous and midland areas of the North will have severe cold in some places. From the night of January 21 to around January 23, it will be severely cold, with severe cold in some mountainous areas.
The Central region from the evening and night of January 20 - 22 in the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An will have scattered rain. Night and early morning it will be cold, from January 21 it will turn cold; from January 21 - 24, the area from Ha Tinh province to Da Nang city and the east of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai will have rain and showers.
From January 25th, the weather will be stable, rain will gradually decrease. The area from Thanh Hoa province to Hue city will be cold in the morning and at night, from January 22nd it will be cold, with places in the north experiencing severe cold.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions from January 20 - 25, generally no rain, sunny days, light fog in the morning; especially the Central Highlands in the early morning and night it is cold.
