On September 9, the search and repatriation force for martyrs' remains continued to expand the search scope at ditch No. 2 just discovered in Zone A, Le Thi Rieng Park and repatriated an additional 13 sets of martyrs' remains, including 5 sets with artifacts.
According to the report of the Repatriation Team of Martyrs' remains under the Ho Chi Minh City Command, on September 9, forces continued to deploy the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at ditch No. 2 of Zone A.
More than 300m3 of soil has been treated to expand the search area. The Ho Chi Minh City Command mobilized 3 excavators, 1 dump truck and 2 3.5-ton trucks to serve the excavation and transportation of soil, ensuring the progress of task implementation.
Through searching on September 9, the task force discovered and repatriated 13 sets of martyrs' remains at ditch No. 2. Among these, 5 sets had artifacts attached.
The new results raised the total number of martyrs' remains discovered and collected at Le Thi Rieng Park from June 23 to the end of September 9, 2026 to 605 sets, of which 279 sets have artifacts.
Out of a total of 605 sets of martyrs' remains, 572 sets were collected separately and 33 sets at 8 collective grave locations. Collective grave locations include 2 locations in Zone A and 6 locations in Zone B.
The search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park is continuing to be implemented, with the search scope expanded in Zone A.
