According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently, the northern area of the North East Sea has strong northeast winds of level 6; in the southern Gulf of Tonkin and the sea area from southern Quang Tri to Ca Mau, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms.
On the night of November 16 and November 17, the North East Sea area includes Hoang Sa special zone, strong northeast winds of level 6 - 7. On the evening of November 17, the wind gradually increased to level 7 - 8, gusting to level 9 - 10, rough seas; wave height 3 - 5m, then increased to 4-6m.
In the Gulf of Tonkin, the northeast wind will be level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7; on the evening of November 17, it will gradually increase to level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas; waves 2 - 4m high.
The sea area from southern Quang Tri to Hue city, northeast wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gust level 7; waves 2 - 4m high, then increase to 3 - 5m.
In addition, on the night of November 16 and November 17, the sea area west of the central East Sea, the southern East Sea area including Truong Sa special zone, the southern area of the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from southern Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
On the night of November 17 and November 18, the North East Sea area including Hoang Sa special zone will have strong northeast winds of level 7 - 8, gusting to level 9 - 10, waves 4 - 6m high, and rough seas.
The Gulf of Tonkin has strong northeast winds of level 7, sometimes level 8, gusting to level 9, waves 3 - 5m high, rough seas.
The sea area from southern Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and the northern sea area of the central East Sea will have northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, waves 4 - 6m high, and rough seas.
The sea area from Gia Lai to Khanh Hoa has northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, waves 3 - 5m high, rough seas; the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau has strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, waves 2 - 4m high, rough seas.
The meteorological agency warns that the risk level of natural disasters at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
