Bach Long Vi and Truong Sa stations have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7; Ly Son station has strong winds of level 6; Huyen Tran station has strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8.
On the day and night of December 31, 2024, the North East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9. The sea will be rough, with waves 2 - 4m high.
The central East Sea area, the sea area from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan and the west of the South East Sea area (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8. Rough seas, waves from 2 - 4m high.
Gulf of Tonkin has northeast wind force 5, sometimes force 6, gusting to force 7, rough sea, waves 1 - 2m high. The central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa archipelago), the sea from Da Nang to Ninh Thuan has scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
On the day and night of January 1, 2025, the North East Sea area (including the Hoang Sa archipelago), the sea area from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan and the sea area west of the South East Sea area (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) will have strong northeast to north winds at level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 2 - 4m high.
The meteorological agency has warned that the risk of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2. All vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.
