According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the last 2 days of the week, the weather in some places in the North will change; while in other areas the weather will be relatively stable, without dangerous phenomena.
The mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region from March 21-22, are forecast to have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms are likely to occur with tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The Northern Delta and North Central region on March 21st is likely to have a slight decrease in temperature, with light rain in some places, early morning fog and scattered light fog.
The lowest temperature in the North in the next 2 days is about 21 - 24 degrees C, in some places below 20 degrees C. The highest temperature is about 24 - 27 degrees C.
From March 23 to March 30, the North and North Central regions will have light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny in the afternoon. The temperature tends to increase with the highest temperature around 26 - 29 degrees C.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions from the night of March 22nd to March 30th, it is forecast that in the late afternoon and night there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny days, especially in the Southeast region there will be hot sun in some places. The highest temperature is commonly from 32 - 35 degrees C, in some places higher.
Regarding the trend of saltwater intrusion from March 21st to March 31st, 2026 in the Mekong Delta, it continues to increase in the first days of the week, then gradually decreases at the end of the week. The highest salinity at stations is lower than the highest salinity in March 2025.
Regarding the hot weather trend, in March, hot weather continues to occur in the Southeast region. In April, hot weather tends to increase in intensity and expand to the Southwest region and some places in the Central Highlands. In the Northwest region and the western mountainous region of the North Central region, hot weather may appear from around the end of March.
