According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night (December 9), the area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa had scattered rain and thunderstorms.
From the afternoon of December 10 to the morning of December 11, the area from Da Nang to Ninh Thuan will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 30 - 50mm, locally over 100mm.
In the Central Highlands region, in the afternoon and night of December 10, there is forecast to be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10 - 30mm, locally over 50mm.
From December 11 to the morning of December 12, in the area from Thua Thien Hue to Khanh Hoa, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 50 - 100mm, locally over 200mm.
From the morning of December 12 to the morning of December 13, the Central and South Central regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 50 - 100mm, locally over 200mm. Heavy rain in the Central and South Central regions is likely to continue.
The warning agency warns that thunderstorms are likely to occur, lightning and strong winds.
Heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
