From the night of September 18 to September 19, the area from Nghe An to Hue city will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 30 - 60mm, locally very heavy rain over 80mm.

Warning of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 80mm within 3 hours.

In addition, in the late afternoon and night of September 18, the Southern region and Lam Dong province will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 20 - 40mm, locally over 80mm.

The Southern Red River Delta region, Thanh Hoa province, Central Highlands and Khanh Hoa province have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 10 - 30mm, locally heavy rain over 60mm.

On the night of September 19 and on September 20, the area from Ha Tinh to Hue city, the Southern region and Lam Dong province will have moderate rain and thunderstorms with rainfall of 20 - 40mm, locally heavy rain over 70mm.

In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, hail is level 1.

Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, and industrial parks; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes.

Regarding the hydrological situation, currently, floods upstream of the Chu River (Thanh Hoa) are rising and above alarm level 2; floods downstream of the Hoang Long River (Ninh Binh), Buoi River (Thanh Hoa) are receding slowly and above alarm level 3. floods on the Day River (Ninh Binh) are fluctuating at peak levels and above alarm level 3. floods downstream of the Ma River (Thanh Hoa) are receding and above alarm level 1; upstream of the Ca River (Nghe An) are fluctuating above alarm level 1.

In the next 24 hours, upstream floods of the Chu River will fluctuate due to the operation of Cua Dat hydropower plant, at alarm level 2 - alarm level 3 and above alarm level 3; downstream floods of the Hoang Long and Day rivers will change slowly above alarm level 3. Downstream floods of the Ma River will fall below alarm level 1, upstream of the Ca River will continue to fluctuate at alarm level 1 and above alarm level 1.

High risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and urban areas, flash floods and landslides on slopes in provinces/cities in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to floods is level 2-3.
