The area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa from the morning of December 12 to the morning of December 14 is forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 80 - 180mm, locally over 300mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain (rainfall greater than 100mm/6 hours).
From the morning of December 14 to the morning of December 15, the area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 40 - 80mm, locally over 150mm.
In Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Central Highlands and the South during the day and night of December 12, there is forecast to be showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10 - 20mm, locally over 70mm.
Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams; and landslides on steep slopes.
Widespread heavy rain in the Central and South Central regions is likely to last until around December 15.
