The meteorological agency warns that this period of thunderstorms and localized heavy rain in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa is likely to last for many days to come. Rain concentrates in the late afternoon, night and early morning; intermittent sunshine during the day.

Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes, and flooding in low-lying areas.
