From the night of September 27 to the night of September 28, the area from Thanh Hoa to Bac Quang Tri will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 150 - 300mm, locally over 500mm.
The area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang city is generally 100 - 200mm, some places over 300mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain over 100mm/1 hour.
In the afternoon and night of September 28, the Northern and Southern Delta regions will have heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 50 - 120mm, locally over 250mm.
Other areas in the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain with common rainfall of 30 - 60mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain over 100mm/3 hours.
On the day and night of September 29, the Northern and Thanh Hoa regions will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 80 - 150mm, locally over 200mm; the Northern and Southern Delta regions will have common rainfall of 100-200mm, locally over 300mm.
The area from Nghe An to Ha Tinh will have moderate rain, heavy rain with common rainfall of 30 - 70mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.
On the morning of September 29, the area from Quang Tri to Hue city had moderate rain, heavy rain with common rainfall of 15 - 30mm, locally over 60mm.
The meteorological agency said that heavy rain in the North and Thanh Hoa is likely to last until September 30.
The total rainfall from the night of September 27 to September 30 in the North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city is generally 100 - 300mm, locally over 450mm. In the Northern Delta, South Phu Tho and from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh, the common is 200 - 400mm, locally over 600mm.
The warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1, especially in the area from Thanh Hoa to Bac Quang Tri level 2.
Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas and industrial parks; flash floods on small rivers and streams; landslides on steep slopes.
