Rainfall from 1pm to 3pm on September 3rd, locally with monitoring stations over 30mm, such as: Ia Dom station (Quang Ngai) 75mm, Dan Hiep station (Lam Dong) 37mm, Nam Thai Son station (An Giang) 44mm.
In the Central Highlands and Southeast region in the evening and night of September 3, it is forecasted to have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall of 20 - 40mm, locally over 90mm. The rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening. Warning of the risk of heavy rain over 80mm within 3 hours.
Coastal areas from Quang Ngai to Lam Dong and the Southwest region in the late afternoon and evening of September 3 are forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10 - 30mm, locally over 70mm.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1. Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
