National Day September 2, 2025 falls on Tuesday of the week. Civil servants and public employees will have 4 days off from Saturday, August 30, 2025 to Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
In addition, from now until the September 2 holiday, there will be many preliminary and final rehearsals for the parade and parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Huong - Head of Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the Northern region from August 20 to August 31 will have many thunderstorms.

"The highest temperature of the day is generally 31 - 34 degrees Celsius and there is little chance of widespread heat waves" - Mr. Huong commented.
The Central region from August 20 to August 25 in the Central region will have rain, showers and thunderstorms, with little chance of hot weather.
"From August 26 to 31, the Central region will have thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, sunny days. The highest temperature of the day is generally below 35 degrees Celsius and there are no signs of widespread heat" - Mr. Huong added.
The Central and Southern Plateau regions from August 20 to August 31 will have many thunderstorms in the Central and Southern Plateau regions. Showers and thunderstorms will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening. The highest temperature during the day in the Central Highlands is from 29 - 32 degrees Celsius, in the Southern region is from 32 - 34 degrees Celsius.
"From now until the end of August 2025, the Northern and Central regions will have thunderstorms, with the possibility of moderate rain, some places with heavy rain, accompanied by the risk of flash floods and landslides. There are strong winds in the sea areas, with the possibility of formation and appearance of tropical depressions" - Mr. Huong warned.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts weather trends in the regions from September 1 to September 5.
Accordingly, the Northern and Central regions generally have little rain, sunny days; the Central region is likely to experience hot weather. The Central and Southern highlands will have sunny days, showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Some key milestones of the parade and fireworks display to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 are as follows:
- The synthesis of the armed forces training will take place from 8:00 p.m. on August 21 and 24, 2025.
- Pre-approvals at the state level from 8:00 p.m. on August 27, 2025.
- General approval at the state level from 6:30 a.m. on August 30, 2025.
- The official ceremony is 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025.
The venue is all at Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi).
On the evening of September 2, Hanoi also organized fireworks displays at 5 locations including Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium and West Lake in traditional form and artistic fireworks.
