The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6 (39 - 49km/h), gusting to level 8; moving northwest at a speed of 15 - 20km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move northwest at a speed of about 15km/h and is likely to strengthen. At 7:00 a.m. on June 26, the center was at about 19.4 degrees north latitude; 112.6 degrees east longitude, about 180km east of Hainan Island (China). The intensity of the tropical depression is strong at level 6 - 7, gusting to level 9.
The danger zone at sea is from latitude 16.5 to 21 degrees north, longitude 111.5 to 115.5 degrees east. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 for the northern East Sea area, including Hoang Sa archipelago.
It is forecasted that in the next 48 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move northwest at a speed of about 15km/h and gradually weaken. At 7:00 a.m. on June 27, the center was at about 21.6 degrees north latitude; 110.4 degrees east longitude, on the mainland southwest of Guangdong province (China).
The intensity of the tropical depression is level 6, gusting to level 8. The dangerous area is north of latitude 18 degrees north; from longitude 109 to 113.5 degrees east. The natural disaster risk level is level 3 for the northwestern sea area of the northern East Sea.
From the next 48 to 72 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move north-northeast at a speed of 15 - 20km/h, and its intensity will continue to weaken.
Regarding the impact of the tropical depression at sea, the northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago) will have thunderstorms and strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusts of level 9; rough seas, waves 2 - 4m high. Ship operating in dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
