Specifically, at around 2:30 a.m. on June 25, Bai Chay Ward Police received a report from Mr. Nguyen Duc Le (born in 1986, residing in An Duong village, Chi Nam commune, Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province).
According to the report, at around 0:50 a.m. the same day, in the water tank area in front of the main stage of the Bistro fou bar, 5 employees of the bar were cleaning up (all 5 people were standing under the water) when they were suddenly electrocuted.
Discovering the incident, people nearby immediately cut off the power, pulled the victims out of the water tank and called for emergency care at 115.
When the victims were taken out of the water tank, all 5 people were in a coma.
The 115 emergency force arrived and performed first aid on the spot for about 30 minutes. However, the two victims, T. Q.Tr and T.D.H, died.
The remaining three people, Nguyen Tien Dat, Nguyen Chinh Nghia and Dang Kien Cuong, regained consciousness and were taken to Bai Chay Hospital for further treatment.
Immediately after the incident, the People's Committee of Ha Long City directed the People's Committee of Bai Chay Ward and the Police of Bai Chay Ward to coordinate with relevant agencies to investigate, clarify the cause and handle the case according to the law.
The city also visited and encouraged families of those who died and were injured in the accident.
