The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a weather trend forecast for the next month (from April 12 to May 10).
Regarding temperature trends, the average temperature across the country is generally 0.5 - 1 degree Celsius higher; the North Central and Southern regions have temperatures approximately the same as the average of many years.
The cold air in the next month will gradually decrease in both intensity and frequency.
Previously, during the period from March 11 to April 10, there were 2 cold air waves on March 15 and March 28. On March 30 alone, cold air caused severe cold across the North, with the lowest temperature in some places dropping below 10 degrees Celsius such as: Dong Van (Ha Giang) at 8.7 degrees Celsius, Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc) at 8.8 degrees Celsius, Mau Son (Lang Son) at 4 degrees Celsius....
Hot weather continues to appear widely in the Southeast region and gradually increases in the Central Highlands and the Southwest region. At the same time, hot weather tends to increase in the Northern, Northern and Central Central regions from the second half of April.
With a shortage of rain and the possibility of increased heat and sun, there is a risk of drought, water shortage and a very high risk of fire and explosion, especially in the Central region.
Previously, in the last month, the Northwestern region, the Central Highlands and the South had appeared in the local hot sun, particularly in the Southeastern provinces, there were 2 wide hot weather on 11 - 15.3 and 3 - 7.4 with the highest temperature of 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, some places higher. At Yen Chau Meteorological Station (Son La), the highest temperature value is 39.3 degrees Celsius on 27.3 exceeding historical value (Historical value is 39.2 degrees Celsius in March 3.2024).
The trend of rainfall across the country is generally 20 - 40mm lower than the average of many years; in the North Central region, it is 5 - 10mm lower than the average of many years in the same period.
In the Northern, Central Highlands and Southern regions, there is a possibility of some widespread showers and thunderstorms.
