At 1:00 p.m. the same day, the water level at Vinh Phuc station on the Tich River was at 6.6 m, 0.2 m above alert level 1. At the same time, the water level at Yen Duyet station on the Bui River was 5.33m, while below alert level 1 it was 0.67m.
The meteorological agency forecasts that from this afternoon (July 27) to tomorrow (July 28), the water level on the Bui and Tich rivers will continue to rise, then change slowly. Notably, the flood peak on the Tich River is likely to be at approximately alert level 2, while the flood peak on the Bui River may reach approximately alert level 1. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to floods is determined at level 1.
The meteorological agency warns that rising river water levels may increase the risk of landslides and flooding in low-lying areas along rivers; directly affecting people's lives, activities in some industrial parks, aquaculture and agricultural production areas.
In addition, this situation can cause disruption and danger to traffic through culverts, spillways, bridges, culverts and roads along the Bui and Tich rivers. People in the area need to proactively monitor information and take preventive measures to ensure the safety of people and property.
