Around the morning of March 9, this cold air mass will weakly affect the northern mountainous area. From the afternoon and night of March 9, the monsoon will affect the Northeast region more strongly, then affect the North Central region, most places in the Northwest and Central Central regions. On land, the wind will turn northeast at level 2-3, coastal areas at level 3-4.
The Northern region and Thanh Hoa from the evening and night of March 9th to October 3rd will turn cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air wave in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa is commonly from 15 - 18 degrees C, mountainous areas in some places below 14 degrees C. Cold weather may affect livestock and poultry; affecting the growth and development of crops.
Due to the influence of cold air, from March 9th to October 10th, in the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have rain, scattered showers, locally moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Hanoi area from the night of March 8th to the morning of March 10th will have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; from the evening and night of March 9th - October 10th, it will turn cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air wave is commonly 16 - 18 degrees C.
The area from Ha Tinh to eastern Gia Lai from October 9th - 10th, is forecast to have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Rainstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, causing trees to fall, damaged houses, traffic works, and infrastructure.
