Accordingly, around May 10, this cold air mass will affect some places in the mountainous areas of the Northeast. Around the evening and night of May 10, the cold air will be strengthened and affect other places in the Northeast, then affect the North Central, Northwest and some places in the Central Central.
On land, the wind will shift to the northeast level 2 - 3, coastal areas level 3 - 4.
The Northern and North Central regions will have cool weather from the night of May 10, and some mountainous areas in the North will be cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North and North Central regions will generally be from 20 - 23 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas, some places will be below 18 degrees Celsius. The average temperature will be about 24 - 26 degrees Celsius.

At sea, on May 10, the northern Gulf of Tonkin will have winds turning northeast at level 4 - 5. From the night of May 10, the Gulf of Tonkin and the northern sea area of the North East Sea will gradually increase the northeast wind to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8; rough seas; waves 1.5 - 2.5m high.
Regarding another notable situation, due to the influence of cold air compressing the low pressure trough, from the night of May 9 to May 11, the Northern and North Central regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. From the afternoon of May 10, the Central Central region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.
The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure.
Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes; heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas and industrial parks.
