According to the People's Committee of Ky Anh District, the Council for compensation, support and resettlement of this district coordinated with the People's Committee of Ky Tay and Ky Thuong communes has just organized the handover inspection in the field for the previous area that has been handed over and the area has been completed in compensation, support, resettlement and site clearance in Ky Thuong and Ky Tay communes.
That is the area where the investor, Vung Ang Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, implemented the Vung Ang Economic Zone Water Supply System project.
Through inspection, it was found that more than 1,600 hectares were re-encroached by people for the purpose of growing acacia trees.
In order to hand over the ground to the investor to continue the construction of water supply projects, Ky Anh District People's Committee requested the People's Committee of Ky Thuong Commune and the People's Committee of Ky Tay Commune to organize to notify the relevant households, individuals and organizations to collect trees, crops, dismantle works, architectural objects ... handing over the ground in accordance with regulations.
In particular, in Ky Thuong commune, the area of reclaimed land is very large, including 746.80 hectares that were handed over in 2014; 703 hectares that have been compensated and cleared have not been handed over to the investor. In Ky Tay commune, people re-oclaimed more than 267 hectares to grow acacia.

On the afternoon of May 8, Mr. Vu Trung Tien - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Thuong Commune - said that the Ky Thuong Commune government had notified and requested people to return the site of the water supply project to Vung Ang Economic Zone where they had re-emptyed for afforestation.
"Because the water supply project has been abandoned for many years and the land is depleted, people are planting forests. When planting forests, we have thoroughly grasped that when the project is taken, we must return it immediately. Therefore, if the project continues to be re-constructed, people will definitely harvest acacia and hand over the site soon, there will be no major problems, Mr. Tien shared.
