According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the northern sea area of the North East Sea has storms.
Due to the influence of cold air shifting eastward combined with the circulation of storm No. 9, in the North East Sea area there are strong winds of level 6 - 7, near the storm center there are strong winds of level 8 - 9, gusts of level 11, and very rough seas.
During the day and night of November 19, the North East Sea area (including the sea area north of Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong winds of level 6 - 7, near the storm center level 8 - 9, gusting to level 11. The sea will be very rough, with waves 2 - 4m high, near the storm center 4 - 6m.
Gulf of Tonkin, sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and west of South East Sea (including sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8. Rough sea; waves 2 - 3m; especially sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai 3 - 5m.
The northern sea area of the North East Sea has storms and rain; the southern East Sea area (including the Truong Sa archipelago) has showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
During the day and night of November 20, the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; waves 4 - 6m high; rough seas. Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8; waves 2 - 3m high, especially the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai 3 - 5m; rough seas.
The level of disaster risk due to strong winds at sea is level 2; in the North East Sea area, it is level 3.
All vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by cyclones, strong winds and large waves.
