On August 4, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province invited IDJ Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company to work due to violations of environmental regulations.
According to Decision No. 1590/QD-XPHC signed by the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment on July 31, this enterprise was administratively sanctioned for the act of discharging wastewater containing environmental parameters exceeding the permitted technical standards.
Wastewater discharge enterprises with ammonia parameters exceeding 1.81 times the permissible limit according to the National Technical Regulation on domestic wastewater (QCVN 14:2008/BTNMT) with a wastewater flow rate of 250 m3/day.
The violation is specified in point i, clause 3, Article 18 of Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP dated July 7, 2022 of the Government stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of environmental protection.
For the above act, IDJ Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company was fined 270 million VND.
In addition to the fine, the enterprise is also forced to implement remedial measures, including ensuring that treated wastewater meets technical standards before being discharged into the environment and paying more than 2.4 million VND for measurement and analysis of wastewater samples exceeding standards.
The deadline for implementing remedial measures is 30 days from the date of receiving the sanctioning decision. Businesses have the right to complain or file an administrative lawsuit against the sanctioning decision according to the provisions of law.
Clause 4, Article 3 of the decision states sending this decision to the People's Committee of Mui Ne ward for information and coordination in implementation.
In Mui Ne ward, Lam Dong province, this company develops a 4.5ha resort hotel complex project, including 4 27-story buildings.
