On the afternoon of August 23, the Military Command of Bao Lam 5 commune (Lam Dong) said that prolonged heavy rain in the area caused soil from the positive taluy to landslide on road No. 17, B'Tru village in the morning of the same day.

The volume of landslide soil and rock is estimated at more than 100m3, affecting traffic on the road. This is a people's road serving people's travel, transporting fertilizer and agricultural products into the production area.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the Military Command of Bao Lam 5 commune reported to functional agencies, and coordinated with forces in the area to deploy remedial plans.

Functional forces also put up dangerous warning signs, temporarily prohibiting people from passing through the landslide area to ensure safety.
