On August 23, according to information from Nhi Chieu ward, Hai Phong city, due to the impact of storm No. 4, from the night of August 21 to August 23, heavy and prolonged rain continuously appeared in the ward, causing landslides in the hillside and road slope area in Hoanh Son and Nham Duong residential groups.
Immediately after the landslide occurred, the functional forces of the ward were present to fix it, put up ropes, put up warning signs of unsafety and support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Ward functional forces continue to closely monitor the developments of the storm, proactively grasp the situation, and regularly inspect points at risk of unsafety in the area to deploy timely handling plans when situations occur.
According to forecasts, storm No. 4 is approaching the Quang Ninh - Hai Phong area, causing widespread heavy rain, posing a risk of flash floods, landslides and flooding in many localities.
The Party Committee and government of Nhi Chieu ward recommend that people regularly monitor the developments of the storm, proactively prevent storms and landslides; pay attention to observation, limit movement through areas at risk of landslides, especially during heavy rains.
