Hanoi - In the days leading up to National Day September 2nd, environmental workers are diligently working to keep the streets clean and bright with fresh flower colors.

In the joyful atmosphere of the last days of August, Hanoi puts on a brilliant look, celebrating the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2nd. Besides the bright red color of flags, flowers, panels and posters, people and tourists can easily recognize the brilliant fresh flower carpets, clean, beautiful, and airy streets.

Behind that meticulous image is the silent dedication of green tree workers, environmental sanitation workers - people who are diligently beautifying the Capital from morning to night.

Along key streets in the central area such as Doc Lap, Hoang Dieu or the space around President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the working atmosphere of the green shirt workers is bustling but full of caution. In sidewalk areas, miniatures or decorative flower pots, hands in the wind and rain, meticulously care for each fresh flower pot, pruning each strip of ornamental plants to be ready for the great festival.

Busily completing new flower pots around the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy (Worker of Enterprise 1, Hai Ba Trung Team, Hanoi Green Park Joint Stock Company) quickly wiped a drop of sweat on her forehead and smiled. Ms. Thuy shared that on days close to the holidays, the workload increases significantly when the team has to focus on decorating fresh flowers on key roads.

Although the work is hard, when looking back, seeing the streets more brilliant, seeing people and tourists excitedly wearing ao dai, holding flags to check-in next to the newly planted flower beds, I and my teammates all feel the joy spreading. Seeing everyone joyful, we feel that our efforts and hardship are completely worthy," Ms. Thuy confided.

Along with the fresh color of flowers, the ventilation and cleanliness of each street corner of Hanoi also mark the persistent footsteps of environmental sanitation workers.

Looking at the crowd joyfully taking photos on the street, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan - an environmental sanitation worker - shared that the task of street cleaners is to keep Hanoi tidy at all times. Whether it's rainy or sunny, the work still has to be done continuously to keep the road surface clean, helping people move safely and comfortably.

Each fresh flower carpet showing off its colors, each clean road carries the sweat and enthusiasm of environmental workers. It is their dedication and silence that have made an important contribution to creating a neat and solemn appearance for the Capital.

That persistent dedication helps people across the country and international tourists when coming to Hanoi on this occasion to fully enjoy the sacred and proud atmosphere of Independence Day - a National Day full of joy and brilliant colors.
