During the 5-day National Day holiday of September 2nd, from August 29th to September 2nd, 2026, the entire bus network of Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) maintains the same bus schedule as normal days, with about 9,191 trips per day.
Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) said that in order to meet the travel needs of people during the National Day holiday on September 2nd, the unit has developed and implemented a plan to serve public passenger transport by bus to its affiliated units.
Accordingly, during the 5-day holiday, the entire Transerco bus network maintains the same bus schedule as on weekdays. The expected number of trips is about 9,191 trips/day on weekdays and 9,903 trips/day on Sundays.
In total, it is expected that 45,797 vehicles will be mobilized to serve passengers throughout the holiday.
In particular, during peak hours, Transerco requires affiliated units to proactively prepare sufficient manpower, vehicles and necessary conditions, be ready to strengthen transport capacity, and promptly relieve passengers at bus stations and transfer points when travel demand increases.
According to the expected plan, 22 backup vehicles of 15 routes are arranged ready, corresponding to about 44 increased trips, to ensure convenient, safe and flexible passenger service during peak hours.
In addition, Transerco requests bus operating units to strengthen maintenance and repair; organize general inspection, renovation, and vehicle cleaning, ensuring quality, technical and aesthetic requirements.
Fire prevention and fighting work for vehicles has also been strengthened, ensuring that vehicles are in the best condition before being put into operation.
Transerco also requested to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of service criteria, regulations, and operating rules for buses, especially the work of ensuring safety and security on routes, vehicles and for passengers.
Inspection and supervision forces are assigned to be on duty at bus stations to support operations and promptly relieve passengers when the number of passengers increases.
With this plan, Transerco aims to maintain stable bus operation throughout the holidays, meeting people's travel needs, and proactively handling situations arising at points with large passenger traffic.
