On June 13, Nhan Co Commune Police (Lam Dong) said that the unit had just coordinated with the Commune People's Committee and Gia Nghia Forest Protection Department to release a yellow pangolin to the natural forest environment in the Nam Cat Tien forest area.

Previously, while farming in hamlet 2, Nhan Co commune, Mr. Van Duc Vu (35 years old, residing in the locality) discovered a wild animal suspected to be a pangolin moving in his family's coffee garden.
Recognizing that this is a rare and precious wild animal that needs to be protected, Mr. Vu proactively contacted and handed over this individual to Nhan Co Commune Police.
Upon receiving information, the police force coordinated with local authorities and forest rangers to make a record, receive the pangolin individual, and complete the procedures according to regulations.
After a period of care, monitoring and assessing the health status, functional agencies released the pangolin into the natural forest environment in the Nam Cat Tien forest area.
According to functional agencies, yellow pangolins (Manis pentadactyla) are endangered, precious, and rare forest animals belonging to group IB, which are strictly protected by law.
According to functional agencies, people proactively handing over wildlife to functional agencies contributes to biodiversity conservation; and at the same time spreads the sense of responsibility of the community in protecting wildlife and the natural environment.
