From the evening of September 15 to the early morning of September 16, widespread rain caused flooding in some areas of Hanoi, and drainage forces were maintained on duty.
On September 16, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Hanoi Drainage One Member Limited Liability Company informed that as of 10 pm on September 15, through inspection, there were no flooding points in the assigned management area.

During the continuous rain, the company maintains forces and vehicles on duty at key locations to promptly handle flooding occurrences. The force also coordinates to ensure traffic safety in low-lying areas.
Along with being on duty outside the scene, the vents, regulating lakes and key pumping stations are operated according to the actual situation, according to procedures. This is to lower the water level on the system, creating favorable conditions for drainage.

At 10:00 PM on September 15th, Yen So Pumping Station operated 11/20 units; Bac Thang Long - Van Tri 2/4; Co Nhue 4/4; Dong Bong 1 3/3; Cau Chui 3/4; Bac Duong Railway underpass 1/2; Ha Tri 1/4; Mau Luong 2/4; Da Sy 2/4; Phuc Dong 2/3; Phu Thuong 1/1; Tran Phu 2/3 and Tan Mai 2/2 units.
The above figures show the number of operating units on the total number of units of each station.
During the night, the company continued to maintain forces and vehicles on duty, and at the same time organized cleaning, clearing the flow and operating key pumping stations according to procedures to lower the water level of the system.

By dawn on September 16, widespread rain continued to appear in Hanoi.
By 6 am on September 16, through inspection, the unit recorded a number of flooded and stagnant points including Co Linh street, Ngoc Lam street, Phu Xa street, Hoa Bang street (sections from number 91 to 97 and from number 54 to 56), Trieu Khuc street (section from alley 97 to Ao Dinh) and the end of alley 42 Giang Van Minh.
Faced with this situation, drainage forces continue to be deployed at key points. Roads and areas at risk of flooding are strengthened for inspection; forces organize garbage collection trips at collection stations and water inlets to ensure water intake capacity and clear flow.

The regulating lake system continues to operate according to the actual situation and in accordance with procedures, focusing on lowering the water level. Many key pumping stations have also been strengthened for operation.

Until 6 am on September 16, rain continued. Hanoi Drainage One Member Limited Liability Company said that it will continue to closely monitor weather developments, maintain forces and vehicles on duty, operate pumping stations according to procedures, and be ready to detect and handle points at risk of flooding and water stagnation.
