On the afternoon of February 11, representatives of the Duc Trong Regional Construction Investment Project Management Board said that after the press's reflection, the unit has coordinated with Gia Hiep, Ninh Gia communes and Duc Trong area to focus on collecting and treating the amount of garbage accumulated along National Highway 20.

From February 8th, the Board mobilized vehicles and workers to coordinate with local People's Committees to organize the collection and treatment of hundreds of tons of accumulated waste.
By noon on February 11, most of the domestic waste accumulated on National Highway 20 and in residential areas in Duc Trong district (old) had been collected and completely treated, contributing to ensuring the environment and aesthetics during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

According to representatives of the Management Board, communes in Duc Trong district (old) have signed waste collection contracts with the unit. According to the plan, waste collection and transportation will be carried out 2-3 days/week in each locality.
Waste after collection is transported to Ka Do Waste Treatment Plant for treatment.

Localities have advanced funds according to contracts, ensuring payment sources for workers, so collection takes place smoothly. Only Ninh Gia commune faces difficulties due to the waste transportation distance to the plant being more than 150km.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reflected: The situation of domestic waste accumulating along National Highway 20 through Hoa Ninh, Di Linh, Gia Hiep, Ninh Gia communes emitting a foul odor, causing environmental pollution and affecting aesthetics.
Notably, a section of about 15km through Ninh Gia commune has dozens of garbage points accumulated for many months without being treated, causing people to worry and be insecure.
