On December 28, the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association, the Environment and Life e-magazine, in collaboration with Hanoi Westminster School (HWS) Primary and Secondary School, organized the Award Ceremony for the Painting Contest on Environmental Protection in Schools with the theme "Green School".
According to the Organizing Committee, the contest is a useful, practical and meaningful playground for children to unleash their creativity, improve their aesthetic sense and join hands to protect the environment, especially the green school.
With the theme "Green School", the contest brought a message about environmental protection, raising awareness and actions of students to encourage them to enhance their thinking, practice green skills, green behavior, and promote a green lifestyle.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan - Editor-in-Chief of the Electronic Magazine Environment and Life, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest said that each entry is a work that shows the students' rich and unique perspective on the green school of their dreams, full of motivation and hope for the future. Through 2 rounds of judging, the Jury had a hard time selecting the best works for more than 200 awards.
"However, the success of the contest is that it has spread environmental protection awareness to tens of thousands of students. In some places, the number of participating paintings is very large, such as the provinces of Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, etc. The works, although expressed in many different materials, all express enthusiasm, passion and love for the surrounding environment" - Mr. Toan added.
After 2 rounds of Preliminary and Final, from more than 20,000 works, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 202 excellent paintings to win prizes.
Attending the ceremony, Mr. Chu Pham Ngoc Hien - Chairman of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association said that from the number of participating works, it can be seen that this contest received sympathy, response and had a great influence on the community.

"Through the works, we can see the thoughts, dreams, and ambitions of the students in protecting the environment to move towards a beautiful and sustainable life..." - Mr. Hien shared.



At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded and commended 7 First Prizes, 10 Second Prizes, 15 Third Prizes, 20 Fourth Prizes, 50 Promising Prizes, 50 Passionate Prizes and 50 Impressive Prizes for the best works. Authors who could not come directly to receive the awards were also awarded by the Organizing Committee in different forms.
