On January 22, the Economic Police Department, Tay Ninh Provincial Police said that this agency is investigating the case of a company in Huong Binh 2 neighborhood (Long An ward, Tay Ninh province) for discharging wastewater into the environment causing pollution.
According to initial information, recently, the Economic Police Department chaired and coordinated with functional units to conduct inspections of compliance with environmental protection laws for Thoi An Service Co., Ltd., business line: mango skin production and preliminary processing, directed by Mr. Nguyen Tan Loc as director and legal representative.


At the time of inspection, inside the workshop of Thoi An Service Co., Ltd., there was a large volume of mango shells and mango seeds being decomposed, with a volume of about 600 - 800 tons. Wastewater from the untreated workshop is being discharged into the Vam Co Tay River.
At the above time, Mr. Nguyen Tan Loc was not present to work with the inspection team, but only Mr. Nguyen Huy Dat (born in 1969, residing in Cu Chi commune, Ho Chi Minh City - a member contributing capital and in charge of company management) was working.
Through inspection, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dat could not present environmental records. Thoi An Service Co., Ltd. does not have the function of environmental treatment, but receives waste from 63 Environment One Member Co., Ltd. (address No. 14 Tran Quoc Toan, My Tho ward, Dong Thap province) to self-sort, mix, incubate, and screen for organic sludge.


According to the record book, from December 26, 2024 to January 14, 2026, Thoi An Service Co., Ltd. received 8,794 tons of waste from Environment Company 63 and received 3.3 billion VND to treat the above waste.
The inspection team proceeded to collect wastewater samples discharged into the environment and solid material samples for analysis and assessment of pollution levels; requested Thoi An Service Co., Ltd. to stop receiving waste and stop all waste treatment activities, maintain the current status of the factory to continue verifying and clarifying, and treating according to the provisions of law.
