Nghe An - Nearly 250 gifts of essential items and cash were given to people in flooded areas.

On July 29, Triton Vietnam Club in collaboration with Hanoi Heart Rescue Station organized a gift giving ceremony for people in Xop Tu, Hoa Ly, Xieng Tam villages (My Ly commune) and a number of policy households and households completely lost in Muong Xen commune (Nghe An).

The gifts worth a total of VND450 million were carefully prepared, contained in large plastic bins, including many essential items, instant noodles, drinking water, a set of pots, sinks, flashlights, new clothes, B-chlorine and cash to help people rebuild their lives after the flood.

The group also brought many new clothes to distribute to people in especially difficult circumstances.

The activities took place in harsh weather conditions, with roads still covered with mud, but the members of the volunteer group still diligently carried and gave gifts to each household. In particular, priority is given to families with severe damage, including the elderly, children and the sick.

A representative of Triton Vietnam Club shared: This is the second charity trip we have made in Nghe An after the historic flood. The most hopeful thing is to contribute a small part so that people can soon stabilize their lives".

This is a practical gesture, giving hope to people in the highlands after days of facing devastating natural disasters.
