On March 24, Da Nang Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Social Work Day and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Social Work Department - Da Nang Hospital.
In 2025, the Social Work Department of Da Nang Hospital connected organizations and individuals to support patients with a total budget of up to more than 4.38 billion VND. More than 245 cases in particularly difficult circumstances and nearly 4,000 patients with dangerous diseases were promptly supported with both cash and essential items such as wheelchairs and personal belongings.
In particular, in the past nearly 10 years, the Social Work Department of Da Nang Hospital has mobilized more than 21 billion VND, supporting more than 8,000 patients, helping many families have more faith and opportunities to regain their lives from the hands of death.
Not only providing financial support, the Social Work Department of Da Nang Hospital also has the "Meaningful Hair Salon" model. This is an activity that has been awarded a typical Certificate of Merit in the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" movement in 2025.


In addition, models such as: "Hair Library" for cancer patients, "Compassionate Bus" taking patients home, or "Loving Cake Shelf", "Compassionate Accompanying Cabinet"... have become familiar and warm images in departments and rooms.
Dr. Le Duc Nhan - Director of Da Nang Hospital said: "Social work in healthcare is not only physical treatment but also comprehensive spiritual and psychological care. Over the past 10 years, the Social Work Department has affirmed its professional and methodical role, being an indispensable bridge between patients, hospitals and the community, contributing to building a friendly and humane hospital.
In 2025, the Department received and answered nearly 3,000 calls through the customer care switchboard, processing hundreds of feedback to improve patient satisfaction. Communication work was also promoted with hundreds of news articles and reports on digital platforms, spreading positive values to society.
