On September 12, according to information from the family of Mr. Phan Van Ngot (Ninh Loi Hamlet, Ninh Quoi A Commune, Hong Dan District, Bac Lieu Province), Mr. Ngot's health is currently stable and he can be discharged from the hospital in the coming days.
According to Nguyen Thanh Tu (a relative of Mr. Ngot), the incident happened at around 5:40 p.m. on September 11, while everyone was sitting and talking, Mr. Ngot went to the restroom. But after a while, he suddenly fell down.
Suspecting that Mr. Ngot had a stroke, Mr. Tu quickly ran to the Ninh Quoi Waterway Traffic Police Station (Ninh Quoi A commune, Hong Dan district, about 200m from Mr. Ngot's house) and asked the traffic police to help take him to the emergency room.
As soon as he received the information and realized the emergency situation that required rescue, the commander of Ninh Quoi Waterway Traffic Police Station sent officers and drove a specialized canoe to the house, promptly taking Mr. Ngot to the emergency room.
Information from the hospital said that the patient showed signs of a stroke, fortunately he was taken to the emergency room in time and has overcome the critical stage. Currently, the patient's health condition is gradually stabilizing.
On behalf of his family, Mr. Tu sent his sincere thanks to the officers and soldiers of Ninh Quoi Waterway Police Station for their timely actions in saving his loved one's life. "I would like to thank the traffic police officers, wish you good health, and do more good deeds to gain the trust and love of the people," Mr. Tu shared.
Lieutenant Nguyen Nhat Vi - an officer of the Ninh Quoi Waterway Traffic Police Station, who directly drove the canoe to take Mr. Ngot to the emergency room - shared: At that time, it was almost dark, after receiving information from the commander, he and a soldier at the station quickly drove the canoe to Mr. Ngot's house to take the victim to the emergency room. "On the way, I always thought about trying to get the patient to the Medical Center as soon as possible. During the move, I turned on the priority flashing lights. Fortunately, at that time, there were not many vehicles moving on the river, so the transportation of the patient was convenient," Lieutenant Vi shared more.
According to Lieutenant Nguyen Nhat Vi, during the trip, he contacted the doctor at Phuoc Long District Medical Center, so as soon as the canoe docked, an ambulance was ready to pick up and quickly take the patient to the emergency room.
