He is young, 3 mothers and children need him", that is what Ms. C - a Mong kindergarten teacher in Lai Chau - still said to Mr. Ch (her husband) when she heard the news that he was sick.
Her daily work is taking care of children who are not yet proficient, teaching them to say hello, to love from the smallest things. And Mr. Ch (34 years old) works as a livestock farmer at home. Their life was originally simple and quiet, until an event struck their small house.

In July 2025, Mr. Ch developed abdominal pain in the right side of the body, and was very tired. During a regular check-up, Mr. Ch was diagnosed with: Left liver cell carcinoma. After that, he underwent endoscopic surgery to remove the left liver.
Since knowing he had the disease, he confined himself in sadness and pessimism, negativity. And Ms. C encouraged and comforted him, becoming a spiritual support for her husband.
However, after 3 months, the tumor recurred. Liver transplantation was the best treatment for him. Mr. Ch did not agree and prevented it when he knew his wife intended to donate his liver.
I'm sick like this. You have to be healthy, so that the children can have their mothers by their side," Mr. Ch told his wife.
She explained to him: "Medicine develops, the liver will regenerate, and then I will be healthy again. I believe that luck will smile on my family, my husband and I will be healthy and raise our children together.
He remained silent for a long time. It was not an immediate agreement, but a tug-of-war in the heart of a man who wanted to live and was afraid of hurting the person he loved most. It was his wife's calmness and strength that gradually pulled him out of negativity.
The surgery day had come, she stepped into the operating room with determination, and he was lying in the next room, carrying the belief that his wife had given him. The liver transplant lasted 7 hours, was the effort of the team of doctors and nurses, was the achievement of modern medicine, and was proof of the love of two people.
Waking up after surgery, the first question she asked the doctor was still about her husband, and so was he. Knowing that the transplant was successful, she smiled and was happy. The health of the couple gradually recovered and stabilized.
Luck smiled on that small family. She was discharged from the hospital after 1 week of surgery, and he was still being cared for and monitored at the hospital. She told him: "You go home first, I stay and try to eat and drink. You can rest assured because there is always a doctor, and I am by your side and accompany you". She told him to try to eat and drink to get well quickly and be discharged from the hospital.
The strength of the kindergarten teacher shows that when love is strong enough, people can walk together through even the most difficult days, to hold hands and continue a long journey ahead.
