At noon on June 26, when finishing the Literature exam for the 2025 high school graduation exam, Ho Thi Nho in Ka Lu village (Dakrong commune, Dakrong district, Quang Tri province) left the exam spot to rest and prepare for the afternoon exam.
When arriving at the gate, Ho Thi Nho received a meal from the volunteer team of Dakrong High School. She said that her house is nearly 20 km from the exam location, so she will stay at her relatives' boarding house at noon. The family has difficult circumstances, so Nho is self-sufficient in moving and eating.
Knowing her difficulties, the school's volunteer team will support free lunch, drinking water and a laptop. "I was supported a lot by the school's union members, from computers, to drinking water, traveling and even free lunch. I will try to take the exam well" - Ho Thi Nho shared.
Mr. Nguyen Phuong Nam - Secretary of the Dakrong High School Youth Union - said that before the exam, he had called for and mobilized the support and contributions of the school's staff, teachers and philanthropists.
With the money received, the school's union has supported the first round of 50 handheld computers for candidates in difficulty before the exam; supported printing exam documents for students. The rest is spent on free drinking water, cakes and meals during the competition days. "There will be hundreds of meals for candidates whose homes are far from the exam location and are in difficult circumstances" - Mr. Nguyen Phuong Nam said.
Free meals for contestants are not only available in the mountainous district of Dakrong, but in the mountainous district of Huong Hoa, free meals for contestants away from home are also taken care of. For example, at the Huong Phung High School exam site (Huong Hoa district), more than 100 lunches were also given to candidates with difficult circumstances and remote homes in Huong Lap, Huong Viet, and Huong Linh communes.
