On June 26, in Hanoi, the Supreme People's Court (SPP) held a ceremony to announce the decision of the SPP Chief Justice on personnel work. Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri chaired and presented decisions on personnel work.
The transfer and appointment decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.
At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Organization Department - General Court Official Dao Tu Hoa announced the Decision of the Chief Justice of the General Court on the transfer and appointment of 29 Chief judges of the General Court of Appeal in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Courts of the new provinces and cities after the merger.
Speaking and assigning tasks, Chief Justice Le Minh Tri said that along with the Supreme People's Courts of the People's Courts, the People's Courts of the merged provinces and the provinces not subject to merger, the role and functions of the People's Courts at all levels have also changed a lot. In particular, the breakthrough of the Court sector is the Regional Court with much larger functions and tasks, helping to promptly and qualitatively resolve the volume of work of the appraisal and re-appraisal director.
To ensure the smooth and continuous operation of the People's Court system immediately after the arrangement and organization of the apparatus, Chief Justice Le Minh Tri requested the Chief Justice and Deputy Chief Justice of the new provincial People's Court, along with relevant agencies under the People's Court, to prioritize focusing on investment from facilities, working conditions to people so that the Regional Court can ensure effective operations.
Chief Justice Le Minh Tri requested 34 Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court to manage and provide guidance to remove difficulties and obstacles for the Regional Court. In particular, it is necessary to improve the issue of control, do the right thing according to the law, ensure strict trial in accordance with the law, and prevent injustice, wrongdoing, and leaving criminals unknown.
Mr. Le Thanh Phong - Chief Justice of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court recognized that receiving the task today is a great responsibility, requiring continuous efforts with a high sense of responsibility.
Chief Justice Le Thanh Phong affirmed that with the view of considering the private economy an important driving force of the economy, the court will create all favorable legal conditions, through fair and transparent trial activities, to protect the rights and legitimate interests of businesses, organizations and individuals.
