On February 22, the Immigration Management Department of Hue City Police said that the Aviation Security force promptly returned a handbag containing many important documents and valuable assets to a lost international tourist at Phu Bai International Airport.
Previously, at about 0:35 on February 19, while on duty in the arrival terminal lobby area, the Aviation Security Team discovered a handbag forgotten by a passenger. Through inspection, inside there were many personal papers and important assets, especially necessary papers for foreigners when staying and traveling in Vietnam.
Determining the importance of the incident, functional forces urgently coordinated with relevant units to verify and track down the owner. After a review process, Hue City Police contacted Mr. H.L. James (Australian nationality) when this tourist was moving in Quang Tri. Verification procedures were carried out quickly and in accordance with regulations before handing over all assets.
Receiving back his handbag and papers, Mr. James expressed his emotion and thanked the police force for their sense of responsibility and professional demeanor. The incident contributed to helping tourists continue their journey smoothly, and at the same time spread the beautiful image of the Vietnamese People's Police force in the eyes of international friends.
