On the evening of February 18 (the 2nd day of Tet), the leader of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police confirmed that the mother and son who were seriously injured after the accident did not survive.

The three victims who died included Mr. Nong Van Tuan (46 years old, residing in Dak Lak province), Ms. Long Thi Huyen (46 years old, Mr. Tuan's wife) and Nong Hai Lam (10 years old, Mr. Tuan's son).
Previously, the accident killed Mr. Tuan on the spot. Ms. Huyen and baby Lam were seriously injured and taken to Lam Dong Hospital II for emergency treatment in critical condition.
According to the leader of Lam Dong Hospital II, in the afternoon of the same day, the hospital received 2 victims in a state of severe multiple injuries, critical.

Although doctors and nurses focused on rescuing them, due to the serious injuries, both died.
Functional agencies of Lam Dong province said that the bodies of the victims have been taken to the hospital morgue to serve the autopsy, investigation, and clarification of the cause of the accident.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 2:30 pm on the same day, a car driven by driver Huynh Hung (30 years old, residing in B'Lao ward, Lam Dong) was traveling on National Highway 28 in the direction from Bao Lam 5 commune to Gia Nghia (Dak Nong).
When arriving at the section passing through Loc Bao village 3 (Bao Lam 5 commune), the car collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. Nong Van Tuan, carrying his wife and son, traveling in the opposite direction.
The accident killed Mr. Tuan on the spot. His wife and son were seriously injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment in critical condition.
It is known that the victims were on their way from Dak Lak to Lam Dong to wish Tet when they encountered a tragic accident.
