Strengthen patrol and control
In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year 2025, the Road Traffic Police Teams of the Traffic Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police, continue to increase patrols and strictly control vehicles on national highways.
Traffic police strictly handle violations such as drinking alcohol, speeding, and especially cases of deliberate resistance and disobedience. The goal is to deter and ensure traffic safety during Tet.
According to statistics, alcohol violations in Dak Lak account for more than 20% of the total number of cases handled. Although many people strictly comply with the request, there are still many cases of resistance, even using force to resist when stopped.
Lieutenant Colonel Kieu Manh Hung, Head of Krong Pac District Police, said: "During the Lunar New Year, the Traffic Police force will continue to increase patrols and closed controls. In addition to the 5 regular Traffic Police patrol teams, the Commune Police will also coordinate to support, even at night, to reduce crime during the holiday."
In Cu M'gar district, the District Police Traffic Police Team is increasing patrols and controlling the area, focusing on strictly handling violations such as the use of alcohol and stimulants, to prevent traffic accidents.
Authorities also handle cases of unlicensed driving, overloaded and oversized vehicles, contributing to ensuring security and order for people during Tet 2025.
Support people to return home for Tet
Major Nguyen Hiep Binh, Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Buon Ma Thuot City Police, said the unit has implemented a plan to support people on their way home for Tet.
The city's traffic police will provide food, exchange helmets, and refuel people at inner-city checkpoints, in order to motivate people to reunite with their families.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Tu, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police, emphasized: "Traffic police forces throughout the province will be on duty at city gateways, bus stations, and national highways to ensure traffic safety and reasonable traffic flow, avoiding congestion.
Before, during, and after Tet, traffic police teams have been directed to provide maximum support to people on their journey home.
He also noted: "The traffic police force needs to proactively support people when they encounter problems, especially when vehicles break down on national highways. The dedication of officers and soldiers not only demonstrates responsibility but also helps people feel more secure on their journey home."
