On October 22, Minh Chau Commune Police (Nghe An) said that a commune police officer had returned 500 million VND to a person who had transferred the money by mistake.
On October 21, while performing his duties, Captain Nguyen Huu Dung - an officer of Minh Chau Commune Police - suddenly received a large sum of money, up to 500 million VND, transferred to a personal account that he had not had any previous transactions or contacts with.
Immediately after discovering the incident, with a sense of integrity and responsibility, Captain Dung reported to the commune police commander and coordinated with the bank to verify the origin of the money. The results showed that the person who transferred the money by mistake was Ms. H.T.T.T, residing in Truong Vinh ward, due to incorrect operations during the transaction via mobile phone.
That same day, Captain Nguyen Huu Dung went directly to the bank and completed the procedures to fully refund the amount of 500 million VND to the person who transferred it by mistake.
The honest and timely action of Captain Nguyen Huu Dung is a shining example of the qualities of a People's Public Security soldier, clearly demonstrating the motto "Serving the People", contributing to spreading good deeds in the community.
