On May 5, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Lap - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Hoang commune (Da Huoai district, Lam Dong) said that he had just visited, expressed condolences and presented financial support to the family of Mr. Dinh Van Kien (43 years old, living in Tien Hoang commune).
Previously, Mr. Kien was killed by a herd of cows while participating in a patrol to manage and protect the forest.

According to statistics, by May 5, Mr. Dinh Van Kien's family had received a total of 604 million VND from local authorities, organizations and individuals who visited and presented support.
This amount was raised by the Cat Tien National Park Trade Union to call for contributions from cadres, workers, and laborers in Cat Tien National Park and national parks across the country.
It is known that Mr. Kien and his wife have 3 children and live with a mother over 60 years old.
The family's economy depends on Mr. Kien's income from the salary of forest protection contract employees.
Along with the donation of support funds, Cat Tien National Park has reported to the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment about the case of ranger Dinh Van Kien.
Cat Tien National Park is completing documents and procedures to request the authorities to review related policies for Mr. Dinh Van Kien.
As Lao Dong reported, Mr. Dinh Van Kien is an employee of Cat Tien National Park. He works at the Da Lak Forest Protection Management Station (located in Dak Lua commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai).
On the morning of May 3, Mr. Kien and some people were patrolling to manage forest protection when they were suddenly attacked by a herd of goose cows. The people who were with him were lucky to escape, while Mr. Kien could not escape in time and was run over and killed by a cow.
