On August 19, news from Hoa Tri Commune Police said that they had received a touching thank you letter from Do Gia Tran, a 4th grade student at Ninh Than Elementary School.
The letter was written by Gia Tran on behalf of her mother who has eye disease and cannot write herself, to send thanks to the officers and soldiers of Hoa Tri Commune Police for wholeheartedly supporting the family in the process of resolving administrative procedures.
According to the content of the letter, Gia Tran's mother came to Hoa Tri Commune Police headquarters to resolve administrative procedures related to residence.
Even on holidays, officers and soldiers of the Regional Police Team still enthusiastically welcomed, guided and supported people to complete papers with the spirit of "work done, not time up".
During the contact process, officers and soldiers learned that Gia Tran's family situation was difficult, the mother was sick but had to raise her child alone.
Faced with this situation, Lieutenant Colonel Le Khanh Xuan - Head of the Area Police Team, proactively shared and supported the family with 500,000 VND, helping the family alleviate some of the difficulties in life.
The kind actions of the police officer made Gia Tran and her children extremely touched.
Due to blurred vision, the mother could not write the letter herself, so she instructed her daughter to carefully write each line of text to send thanks to the police officers.
Because she had to stay home to take care of her sick mother, Gia Tran asked a neighbor to travel a distance of 10km to hand over the letter to Lieutenant Colonel Le Khanh Xuan.
The handwritten letter, simple but containing sincere feelings, was given to officers and soldiers of Hoa Tri Commune Police on the occasion of the Traditional Day of the People's Police (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2026).
For those working at the grassroots level, the simple recognition from the people is perhaps one of the most meaningful rewards, adding motivation for officers and soldiers to continue to perform their duties well and support the people when needed.
