Giving 50 trash bins to classify and plastic lanes to the market to replace plastic bags
On May 25, 2025 in Hoai Duc district, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union organized the launching ceremony of the 2nd National Green Sunday; plastic waste prevention and response to World Environment Day June 5.
Speaking at the program, Comrade Nguyen Duc Tien, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, launched activities to celebrate Green Sunday and World Environment Day and assigned each youth union, union member and youth institution to actively carry out propaganda activities, launch environmental sanitation, especially focusing on handling black spots of waste, in ponds, ponds and lakes in the area; deploy projects and youth work that are practical for the community and society.
At the program, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union launched 03 volunteer teams including: Volunteer Green Team - Clean from alley to street: with the core being local youth union members and the 3+ Self-management Team (including members of the Women's Union - Women's Union - Women's Union and Youth Union), participating in peak activities on Saturdays, Green Sundays... to maintain environmental hygiene in residential areas, traditional markets, youth streets...;
The "Youth action - Say no to plastic waste" team: a team of enthusiastic environmental propagandists, spreading a green lifestyle to the community; are youth union members who take on the task of propagating on Propaganda, raising people's awareness of the use of plastic waste in particular and environmental protection in general;
"Green Volunteer Summer" Team With a team of enthusiastic union members, youth, and students, the "Green Volunteer Summer" team will be the core in the series of activities: Joining hands to build advanced new rural areas, Environmental sanitation, garbage collection, planting trees, Organizing propaganda activities, supporting students and children in the summer, carrying out projects and youth work that are meaningful to the community.
Also within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee donated 50 trash bins for sorting, plastic lanes to the market to replace plastic bags, and bio-degradable garbage bags to residential groups, residential areas and representatives of the Women's Union in the area.
At the end of the launching ceremony, the City Youth Union implemented many practical and meaningful response activities such as: organizing environmental cleaning in the dyke roof area, martyrs cemetery area and football field of Duong Lieu commune; Organizing environmental cleaning, removing illegal advertising signs in Moi village and Me Tao village; Propagating the limitation of plastic waste use, waste classification in residential areas, traditional markets... with a total of over 250 union members and young people participating.
Free medical examination for 500 people in Hoai Duc district
In addition to activities in response to the World Environment Day, with the desire to promote the important role of youth in social security activities, contributing to taking care of the health life for people in the area; City Youth Union - City Youth Union coordinated with the Vietnam Young Doctors Association; The Hanoi Young Doctors Association coordinated to organize the program: "The journey of the young physician to follow Uncle Ho's words - the youth of the Capital volunteered for public health in 2025 with the theme" Young physicians shocked, reached out in the digital era ".
At the program, the Organizing Committee deployed medical examinations and provided free medicine to 500 people in Hoai Duc District. The journey in 2025 is expected to not only bring direct health benefits to the people but also create great social value. Young doctors are not only those who directly care for their health, but also those who inspire the community in compassion, responsibility and solidarity.
