On January 5, Lao Cai Ward Police informed that the unit had just received a case of a male student who picked up a valuable handbag and brought it to the headquarters to ask for ownership to return it.
Accordingly, at 11:30 pm on January 4, Lao Cai Ward Police received a report from Nguyen Van Quan (born in 2008, a student of the General Technical Center - Vocational Guidance - Continuing Education) about picking up a handbag, inside which contained more than 84 million VND in cash and many important personal papers.
Although the time of picking up the property was late at night and the value of the property was large, Nguyen Van Quan did not hesitate and proactively brought all the property to the headquarters of Lao Cai Ward Police to hand over, wishing to return it to the person who dropped it.
Immediately after receiving it, Lao Cai Ward Police urgently verified and identified the owner of the above property as Ms. Vu Thanh Binh (born in 1986), residing in Residential Group No. 25 Bac Cuong, Cam Duong Ward, Lao Cai province.
At the handover ceremony, Ms. Vu Thanh Binh checked and confirmed that she had fully received her assets and personal papers and expressed her emotion, sending deep thanks for Nguyen Van Quan's noble gesture as well as the responsibility and dedication of the police force.
