On December 31, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee organized a meeting and commended units with outstanding and outstanding achievements in revenue collection and budget revenue coordination in 2025.
According to a report by the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Finance, total state budget revenue in the area as of December 30, 2025 reached 21,364 billion VND, equal to 158% of the centrally assigned estimate, equal to 102% of the provincially assigned estimate, an increase of 27% compared to the implementation in 2024.
It is estimated that the implementation for the whole year 2025 will reach 21,689 billion VND, equal to 160% of the centrally assigned estimate.
The 2025 budget revenue task is implemented in the context of implementing the 2-level local government model, Lao Cai province was newly established on the basis of merging Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces. The new province, expanded development space, large economic scale, and many new growth drivers are basic advantages.
As of the end of December 30, the disbursement rate of the entire Lao Cai province has reached 77%, expected to reach 84% by the end of December 31, 2025, and is estimated to reach over 95% by the end of January 31, 2026; in which, the disbursement rate of capital assigned by the Prime Minister to date has reached 96.3%, maintaining the leading position in the country.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the total state budget revenue in 2025 is the highest ever, not simply a number, but has affirmed the management capacity, effective coordination and solidarity of the province after the merger; the smooth and effective coordination of departments, branches, and units; and the active cooperation of businesses and people.
At the same time, it clearly demonstrates the initial success of the two-level local government model, affirming the correct policies of the Party, State, Government and the determination of the province in innovation and development.
Promoting the positive results achieved in 2025, with the goal of successfully completing the 2026 budget revenue task of 23,500 billion VND or more, I call on Party committees, authorities, and the business community in the province to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and proactively overcome all difficulties and challenges. Determined to successfully implement the 2026 budget revenue task," emphasized the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee.
