On October 16, informing Lao Dong, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) said that it had unexpectedly rewarded the bus staff who helped a lost second grader return to his family.
Previously, on October 14, on bus route 112 (Nam Thang Long - Thach Da, Me Linh) of Yen Vien Bus Company, when traveling from Thach Da to Nam Thang Long at 4:34 p.m., a passenger, a second-grade student, got on the bus. The child's name was N.N.H, studying at Thach Da Primary School. The child did not remember where his home was, only remembered his family's phone number.
Driver Le Minh Thu and ticket agent Le Trung Dung, who were working on the bus, consoled and encouraged the child and tried to contact the phone number given to the child by the family, but were unable to reach them.
After that, the driver and ticket dispenser reported the incident to the dispatching department of the Enterprise's Planning and Dispatching Department. Although they continued to call the number provided by the child, they were still unable to contact him.
The dispatcher then instructed the driver and ticket dispenser to take the child to Hoang Kim Commune Police Station (Me Linh District) to ensure the child's safety and asked the police to contact the child's family.
At 6:30 p.m. the same day, the police force contacted the family and brought the child home safely to the joy of everyone.
N.N.H's family was extremely moved and deeply grateful to the bus staff of route 112 and the Hoang Kim Commune Police for helping the family find the child.
